More Lovecraftian horror is available now for PC gamers, as HOOK and indie developer Overflow’s rogue-lite shooter Madshot has left Early Access on Steam with v1.0 available now. Not only that, but Switch users can also enjoy Madshot, as the game is also now available for the console via the eShop. The game is available now on both platforms for $19.99USD, with generous launch discounts for a limited time.
In your for eternal life, you invited forces beyond your understanding. You dabbled in the occult, resulting in the mighty Cthulhu himself swallowing your city whole. Now, you must destroy Cthulhu from within. In order to do so, you must battle through waves of Cthulhu’s minions. Utilizing acrobatics as you fire your guns, you’ll be dodging, rolling, wall jumping, hanging from ropes and more, creating intense and cool moments as you slay Eldritch minions.
Kill enough enemies to charge a blood portal that summons rewards as well as a path to the next area, where you’ll do it all over again. Eventually, you’ll reach multi-phased boss battles with creatures not of this world.
Speaking of the rewards, Madshot relies heavily on synergies between your weapons and sidearms, as well as over 200 upgrades and abilities that you can combine to make each run unique and fun.
