Techland promised a “special guest” for the latest “Dying 2 Know” episode, and they delivered. Rosario Dawson has been confirmed to have a role in Dying Light 2 as Lawan, a new character that players will meet in The City.
Dying Light 2 writer Marta Szczechowska describes Dawon’s Lawan as “a real fighter”, and one of the strongest in The City. “Complex, stubborn and unforgiving, she can become one of your most valuable allies, so do not rile her up. What happens to the ones who do isn’t pleasant, really. Instead, gain her trust, and she’ll show you that true friendship can still be found even in a city full of monsters.”
Rosario is no stranger to video games, having lent her likeness to titles such as Arkane’s Dishonored 2 and its standalone expansion, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider.
In addition, the latest “Dying 2 Know” episode features lead game designer Tymon Smektała and streamer Leah revealing more details on Dying Light 2‘s open world, which reacts to player choices in “dramatic, consequential ways”. As well, composer Olivier Derivière (who also composed the score for A Plague Tale: Innocence and Vampyr) gave a preview of Dying Light 2‘s score from Abbey Road Studios.
Dying Light 2: Stay Human is scheduled for release on February 4th for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series.
