Before listening to Part 1 of Safe Room’s GOTY episode, give last week’s discussion detailing our indie Horror Bytes of the year a listen!
Does anyone else feel like they blinked, got up to get a soda, stepped out for a smoke, woke up from a four-hour nap, and now don’t know where they are, and it’s already the second week of December?
Well, fear not, dear reader, as we are all toiling in the weeks leading up to the holidays! Some love the season, others dread it, but no matter your creed or customs, we can all come together to celebrate what an absolutely stellar year it was for the horror genre in all its forms!
Whether it be the biggest of AAA or the most minuscule of indie releases, horror delivered in a big way in 2022. If you found solace or scares in the games you ravenously devoured this year, take a moment to spread the good word. Write a Steam review, write a tweet; hell, send a spooky carrier pigeon to a friend if you have to, but give back by spreading the word.
While Neil and I spent last week discussing our favorite Horror Bytes of the year, this week sees us beginning to tackle the entirety of what 2022 had to offer.
For the first part of our two-part Game of the Year coverage, Neil and I will chat about our #10 – #6 picks for 2022, with the following week to cover the remainder! –Jay Krieger
