With a new trailer, developer Ska Studios has finally dropped the release date for their upcoming 2D Soulslike Salt and Sacrifice. The follow-up to Salt and Sanctuary will arrive on May 10 for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, and it can be assumed that it’ll arrive on the same day for PC via the Epic Games Store.
The announcement was made as part of Sony’s “PlayStation Indies” event earlier today. In addition, Ska Studios member James Silva dropped a bit more information on the game over at PlayStation Blog, particularly in regards to its Player-vs-Player combat, the new abilities players have in the game, as well a bit of info on the sects that players can join.
The story for Salt And Sacrifice concerns the decaying Altarstone Kingdom, where Mages have spread corruption through the land. Only the Marked Inquisitors—criminals who elect to fight instead of face execution—stand in the Mages’ way.
