Sam Raimi-Produced Sci-fi Thriller ’65’ Gets Intense Teaser Ahead of Tomorrow’s Trailer Debut

Sam Raimi has joined forces with A Quiet Place writers Scott Beck and Bryan Woods for 65, and a brand new teaser ahead of tomorrow’s full trailer debut hints at an exciting creature feature in store.

The teaser begs the question: what’s lurking in the cave? Is Driver’s character equipped to handle it? More importantly, will tomorrow’s trailer show us?

The original sci-fi thriller stars Adam DriverAriana Greenblatt, and Chloe Coleman.

The movie has been bumped around a few times in the last couple of years, and we’ve learned tonight that it’s now currently dated for March 10, 2023, from Columbia Pictures.

In 65, “An astronaut who crash lands on a mysterious planet discovers that he is not alone.”

Not much is known about the project as of yet, but according to Collider, “Driver will play an opioid addict who has become a hopeless shadow of his former self. After a catastrophic accident, Driver’s character joins forces with a 9-year-old girl who speaks a different language, and the two of them must work together to survive.”

Scott Beck and Bryan Woods will direct from their own original screenplay. Beck and Woods, who helmed Halloween slasher Haunt, previously collaborated with Raimi on Quibi anthology series “50 States of Fright.” They wrote and directed the episode “Almost There (Iowa).” 65 isn’t the only Raimi-produced horror feature currently slated for 2023 release; Lee Cronin’s Evil Dead Rise is also slated to arrive next year.

Raimi will produce alongside Zainab Azizi and Debbie Liebling.

We can’t wait for the full trailer to release tomorrow.
