A Survival Horror game inspired by the Saw series? Yes, please! Developer Dark Panda has announced Psycho Fear, describing it as a “heart-pounding survival-horror experience” that’s set to be released on Steam in Q2 2024.
As you might expect, in Psycho Fear, players are trapped and must use their smarts to escape the clutches of a twisted psychopath and survive. With a heavy emphasis on puzzle-solving, players will need to explore their environment, collect items, and interact with various objects in order to find a way out of the traps.
And speaking of the traps, they’re obviously the central focus of the game. Each one is designed to test the player’s skills and intelligence, ranging from simple puzzles to more elaborate. You’ll be required to think creatively and “outside the box” in order to escape.
Featuring a tense, dark atmosphere, the environments you’ll find yourself in are designed to create a sense of dread and unease, keeping players on edge and engaged. And since there’s more fun when more people are fighting for their lives, Psycho Fear can be enjoyed solo, or with up to three players in co-op mode.
In addition, a demo of the game will be available in June to give you a taste of what to expect ahead of the game’s launch.
And speaking of Saw, the latest entry in the series just wrapped filming last week, with an expected release date of October 27.
