Director André Øvredal (The Autopsy of Jane Doe, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, The Last Voyage of the Demeter) has set up his next horror project, with Deadline reporting that Øvredal has signed on to direct an untitled horror movie for Walter Hamada’s 18hz Productions.
Deadline details in this week’s exclusive report, “Zachary Donohue and T.W. Burgess penned the script for the new project, which has a logline that’s being kept secret.”
Gary Dauberman (Salem’s Lot) will also produce the untitled horror movie.
Via 18hz Productions, Hamada is slated to produce several mid-budget horror films for Paramount Pictures per year. Other projects in the works include Primate and Familiar.
Hamada, who recently left WB/DC, has a ton of horror cred from his time at New Line, producing countless horror movies including the Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street remakes as well as The Conjuring and its various spinoffs and the 2017 adaptation of IT.
