From Mark Polonia, the filmmaker behind the upcoming Amityville in Space, comes aquatic creature feature Sharkula, which is also being released by Wild Eye Releasing this year.
Sharkula, as you might imagine, looks to be a no-budget affair with an attention-grabbing title, cool poster, and little else going for it, but hey, we love this kind of silly horror all the same!
Rue Morgue has debuted the Sharkula trailer this week, found below.
“The curse of Count Dracula lives on in shark-infested waters, claiming the lives of a tourist community. A sea hunt for the new species results in monsters, madness and bloodshed. This great white is putting the bite back into terror, and it has help with the aid of new vampires intent on seeing it survive.”
The film’s cast includes Jeff Kirkendall as Dracula, Kyle Rappaport as Renfield, Jamie Morgan as Mina, as well as Natalie Himmelberger, James Kelly and Titus Himmelberger.
Wild Eye will release Sharkula this June, just in time for the summer.
Polonia is a longtime horror filmmaker, with 70 credits to his name including Splatter Farm, Lethal Nightmare, Peter Rottentail, Sharkenstein, Bigfoot vs Zombies, and Sister Krampus.
