“Fleabag” creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge is re-teaming with Amazon for the series “Sign Here,” Variety reports this afternoon, based on the 2022 novel written by Claudia Lux.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge will executive produce the series alongside Jenny Robbins for Wells Street Films. Claudia Lux is also executive producing, in addition to co-writing.
The series is said to be “a darkly humorous, utterly gripping debut novel about a guy who works in Hell (literally). Peyote Trip has a pretty good gig in the deals department on the fifth floor of Hell. Sure, none of the pens work, the coffee machine has been out of order for a century, and the only drink on offer is Jägermeister, but it’s still Hell and after waiting a millennium he comes up with a plan that might just change his life (and death) forever.”
Sign Here, Lux’s debut novel, was published in October 2022.
“A mind-bending, riveting debut…Part thriller, part family drama, with a dash of horror thrown in, and it works beautifully. Engaging characters (even in Hell!), impeccable plotting, and plenty of twists will keep you reading all night,” raved Samantha Downing (For Your Own Good).
