The standpipe. The sematary. The Jade. The gates. The world of Stephen King is vast and infinite, at least on paper. In reality, King’s Dominion is nestled snuggly within Bangor, Maine, the third largest city in the seaside state and arguably its greatest source for tourism.
After all, thousands of Constant Readers descend upon the New England town each year in the hopes of finding King’s own stomping grounds. Over the past decade, SK Tours of Maine has helped them find answers on their journey, turning their imaginations into a family memory.
Today, SK Tours guide James Tinker joins Losers Michael Roffman and Jenn Adams to discuss the origins of his family’s tour, share some hilarious local stories involving King, and describe what it was like growing up in what is essentially Derry, Maine. Spoiler: It was spooky!
