If it wasn’t already clear, horror gamers will have plenty of choice later this month when it comes to titles. And Blue Wizard Digital just added to that with the announcement that Slayaway Camp 2 will arrive on Steam on October 28. The sequel to the 2016 hit features evolved gameplay, but all the murdery goodness remains. No word yet on a console release.
Building on the 2023 Netflix edition, the Steam version of Slayaway Camp 2 cranks things up a notch with updated graphics for HIGH-DEFINITION MURDER SPREES, full controller support, tons of absurd new achievements, and exclusive Steam Deck minigames that actually use the trackpads and the buttons on the back of your deck for things like “throttling campers” or “gouging eyeballs.”
Slayaway Camp 2 has campers summoning the notorious masked slasher Skullface, but this time, Skullface is trapped inside a “totally not Netflix” streaming service known as TERRORTUBE. Skullface must find a way to escape TERRORTUBE and return to the real world, but not before slicing his way through hundreds of new victims splattered across classic movie genres.
Not only that, but Skullface has the ability to transform into a one of 36 horror monsters to further his slashing mayhem. Choose from one of five killer classes, each with customizable skins and distinct abilities. Phase through objects as a Ghost, or paralyze victims as a Beast, or stick to the classics and paint the town red as a Slasher.
