Soulslike ‘Thymesia’ Delayed a Week to August 18th

Those looking forward to getting into OverBorder Studio’s upcoming soulslike Thymesia will have a little while longer to wait. Originally announced for August 9th for release for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series, OverBorder Studio has announced that Thymesia‘s release will be bumped a week to August 18th.

According to the developers, it was decided to delay the release of Thymesia in response to community feedback from the recent Steam demo. “We are 100 percent committed to making Thymesia the best experience possible, and those few extra days allow us to do this by implementing changes and fixes that were asked for across all platforms.”

Thymesia was previously delayed from its original December 2021 release to focus on getting the game to the best possible state for release, as well as focusing on development for the PlayStation and Xbox versions.

Thymesia tells the story of a kingdom that discovers there’s a price to pay for dabbling in alchemy. The resulting attempt to stop its use resulted in the kingdom being swarmed with monsters. It’s up to Corvus to stop the monsters, as well as reclaim his memory in the process. In order to do so, Corvus must harness the power of the plague from boss monsters in his quest, granting him new abilities.
