After the announced delay last year, OverBorder Studio and publisher Team 17 have announced that their upcoming action RPG Thymesia has locked in a release date of August 9 for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series. In addition, ahead of Thymesia’s release on Steam, users can check out a new time-limited demo for the game, as well as the new release date trailer, courtesy of IGN.
As part of the “Going Rogue Festival” on Steam, the demo is now live, and will be available for PC users to check out until May 9th.
Thymesia tells the story of a kingdom that discovers there’s a price to pay for dabbling in alchemy. The resulting attempt to stop its use has resulted in the kingdom becoming swarmed with monsters. The key to understanding and stopping all of this is in Corvus’ hands, but he has lost his memory. The truth can only be found within Corvus’ memories, but every time he dives back in, he only finds more secrets. In order to stop the monsters, Corvus must harness the power of the plague from boss monsters in his quest, granting him new abilities.
