It would seem that Netflix is wanting to consolidate the Stranger Things license to its upcoming expansion into video games. Not only is the Stranger Things DLC leaving Dead by Daylight in November, but now BonusXP has announced that Stranger Things 3: The Game will be leaving Steam on August 31.
Steam isn’t the only platform that the game will be leaving, as GOG.com confirmed this morning that the game will also be leaving their service. No word on the game’s status on the Epic Games Store, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, though don’t be surprised if the game disappears from there, too.
Much like the Stranger Things DLC, those who have purchased Stranger Things 3: The Game on either Steam or GOG.com prior to its delisting tomorrow will still have access to the game in their library.
The fourth season of Stranger Things is expected next year.
Thanks to Delisted Games for the heads up.
