Back in November, Netflix teased that they were in the process of developing Stranger Things VR. Apart from the announcement trailer, we didn’t get much else. Netflix had fixed that with a new gameplay trailer, as well as narrowing down a Fall 2023 release date for the Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest Pro.
Developed by Tender Claws, Stranger Things VR will have you playing as Vecna seeking revenge on Eleven and Hawkins. The new trailer unveiled during the Meta Quest Gaming Showcase gives you a taste of some of the things you’ll be doing in the Upside Down, including combat and the eventual crossing over through gates.
The original announcement stated that you’ll become an “explorer of unknown realities as you form the hive mind and tame the void.” You’ll also be able to invade minds and conjure nightmares in your quest for revenge.
Meanwhile, the fifth and final season of Stranger Things is set for a 2024 release.
