We first covered La Belle Games and ARTE France’s The Wanderer: Frankenstein’s Creature back in 2019 when it was scheduled for release on the Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam and mobile devices. The narrative adventure game will now be making its way to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in “mid-March“, courtesy of Hidden Trap.
Originally a point-and-click adventure game, The Wanderer‘s control scheme has been revamped to work with the PlayStation and Xbox controllers. The visuals have also been given a 4K upgrade, giving the painterly environments that much more detail.
A reinterpretation of Mary Shelley’s classic Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus, the title puts you in the role of The Creature. You’ll start the game in the middle of nowhere, without any memories of your identity and origins. Spending time with humans, however, will transform your confusion into an endless stream of questions. Each step of the journey brings a new experience meant to shape your mind and, hence, the path you choose.
