Directed by Russell Owen, the horror movie Shepherd was released in the UK just last month, and we’ve learned today from Variety that a release here in the States is coming soon.
Saban Films has acquired the North American rights, with no release date at this time.

Variety notes, “Following its world premiere at BFI London Film Festival, Shepherd was released in theaters in the United Kingdom last month and has generated $19 million to date.”
In the film, “Running from grief after the mysterious death of his wife, Eric Black takes a job as a shepherd. Trapped alone on a majestic weather-beaten island with an ominous secret. One man’s sudden, spiraling madness meets a vengeful supernatural force. What starts as the perfect wind-swept escape becomes a race to save his sanity and his life.”
