Jukai Studio and Versus Evil have announced that their Survival Horror Soulslike Stray Souls will join the crowd this month with an October 25th release on PC via Steam, PlayStation and Xbox Series. In addition, PC players will be able to purchase the Cult Classic Edition for Stray Souls.
The Cult Classic Edition includes includes the official soundtrack for Stray Souls, along with the Sacred Tome artbook. The soundtrack features legendary guest composer Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill) and veteran indie composer Pete Wicher. The Stray Souls OST contains a total of 60 tracks and over 3 hours of music, including exclusive bonus tracks not featured in the game. Meanwhile, the Sacred Tome artbook includes a selection of gothic watercolor illustrations from the vault of artist Phil Worobey, plus a complete digital lore library encompassing all the discoverable notes, letters, and various documentation found throughout the game.
Combining elements of Japanese survival horror games with an array of new mechanics, Stray Souls centres around a teenager named Daniel, whose grandmother has died and left him her house. On the day that he moves in, Daniel happens to meet a mysterious girl who seems to know a lot more about the house than what he’s been told. Daniel quickly finds out for himself, as when the sun goes down, the dream house quickly spirals into a hellish situation.
