While we wait to find out if Universal is bringing back “Chucky” for Season 4, SYFY has announced this week that they’re bringing the comic book Revival to the small screen.
Deadline reports today that SYFY has given a series order to the small screen adaptation, with the Revival television series set to premiere on the network sometime in 2025.
“Revival is set on one miraculous day in rural Wisconsin when the recently deceased suddenly rise from their graves. But this is no zombie story as the “revived” appear and act just like they once were. When local Officer and single mother Dana Cypress is unexpectedly thrown into the center of a brutal murder mystery of her own, she’s left to make sense of the chaos amidst a town gripped by fear and confusion where everyone, alive or undead, is a suspect.”
From Blue Ice Pictures, the upcoming Revival TV series will be executive produced by Lance Samuels, Daniel Iron, Samantha Levine, Daniel March, Luke Boyce and Aaron Koontz.
The Revival comic book series was created by Tim Seeley (Hack/Slash) and artist Mike Norton, and it was published by Image Comics between July 2012 and February 2017.
