Last summer’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem from producer Seth Rogen introduced a new generation of heroes through stylized animation and infectious mutant mayhem. The fun isn’t over. New animated series “Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” aims to continue the fun this summer.
The new animated series is currently set to debut on Paramount+ this summer. While the specific date hasn’t been revealed yet, you can currently watch Mutant Mayhem on the streaming service to catch up while we wait.
The official synopsis: “From the universe of the Mutant Mayhem film, the all-new Paramount+ original series explores the adventures of everyone’s favorite pizza-loving heroes as they emerge from the sewers onto the streets of NYC. Leo, Raph, Donnie and Mikey are faced with new threats and team up with old allies to survive both teenage life and villains lurking in the shadows of the Big Apple.”
Watch the new teaser below that reintroduces Donatello (Micah Abbey), Michaelangelo (Shamon Brown Jr.), Leonardo (Nicolas Cantu) and Raphael (Brady Noon) as talk up their new confidence fighting crime in NYC right before robots attack. That’s right, the voice actors behind our four favorite turtles from Mutant Mayhem are reprising their roles.
Ayo Edibiri is also returning to voice April O’Neill in the new series.
From Nickelodeon Animation and Point Grey Pictures, Chris Yost and Alan Wan serve as executive producers, alongside returning producer Seth Rogen.
“Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” will continue the fearsome fighting team’s adventures through high school and saving New York City from memorable villains introduced in Mutant Mayhem.
Production is overseen for Nickelodeon by Claudia Spinelli, Senior Vice President of Big Kids Animation, and Nikki Price, Director of Development and Executive in Charge of Production.
Additional casting will soon be announced, which should give us clues on potential Mutant Mayhem baddies that’ll cross over into the new series.
