Back in 1988, the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise made its way to the small screen with “Freddy’s Nightmares,” a horror anthology series hosted by Robert Englund‘s Freddy Krueger that memorably kicked off with a Freddy prequel tale directed by Tobe Hooper. The series ran for two seasons from 1988 to 1990, and we’re still waiting on a DVD/Blu-ray release.
In the meantime, we’re excited to break the news this afternoon that our friends over at Terror Vision Records will be bringing the “Freddy’s Nightmares” soundtrack to vinyl!
The Original Broadcast Soundtrack will be available for the first time ever on any format with this Terror Vision release, and it’ll be available as a “best of” LP or triple LP that comes complete with a full “Freddy’s Nightmares” episode guide. A special bundle will also include a t-shirt, 4 holographic stickers, and two enamel pins. It launches at 12pm EST on November 12!
You’ll find the “Freddy’s Nightmares” LP only over on Terror Vision’s website this Friday.
Check out a fun retro-style commercial that the team whipped up for the release, which is hosted by none other than “Sharp Hand Joe,” based on the classic Freddy Krueger bootleg toy!
