Gun Interactive President and CEO Wes Keltner‘s reaction on Twitter says it all. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre: The Game finally has a release date of August 18. Not only that, but there’s a new trailer out courtesy of IGN, alongside an announcement of a technical test on May 25.
Details on the technical test are yet to be revealed, but there’s a good chance that both PC and consoles will be involved.
As for the trailer, it’s a short-but-sweet affair, as Family members slice and dice Victims in appropriately bloody fashion, culminating in a short clip of Leatherface delivering a coup de grâce on one unfortunate soul. The trailer ends on a shot of a family portrait that recreates the the famous photo of the Family sitting on the porch.
And hey, if you can’t wait for information on the technical test, by all means pick up the shiny new 4K release of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, which features Bloody Disgusting’s own Meagan Navarro as part of the new documentary included with the release.
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre: The Game will launch for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Xbox Game Pass.
