After Norman Reedus hinted at it earlier this year, Hideo Kojima has officially unveiled Death Stranding 2 at The Game Awards in a stylish new trailer. And yes, those hints in October with Elle Fanning and Shiori Kutsuna were Death Stranding 2.
As per usual, Kojima was cryptic about the game’s details, though he did say that there’s lots of things to look for and talk about in the trailer. When asked for more infomation by The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley, Kojima stated that he wrote the story prior to the pandemic, but ended up re-writing it “from scratch” because of the pandemic. Jokingly, Kojima said that he “didn’t want to predict the future”, which is why he re-wrote it.
