The marketing for the upcoming season of “The Boys” continues to heat up with new reveals thanks to “Seven on 7 with Cameron Coleman,” a fake news show hosted by the series’ villainous Vought Corporation.
The latest episode drops critical updates on The Seven members since season two and the first glimpse at a new patriotic superhero played by Nick Wechsler (“Revenge”).
Wechsler will play Blue Hawk, a new name to The Boys’ universe, but potentially a twist on the comic’s Ground Hawk character. In Garth Ennis’ comics, Ground Hawk was a parody of Wolverine and donned a blue hawk helmet.
Blue Hawk isn’t the only new superhero joining season three. “The Walking Dead” actress Laurie Holden was previously announced as Crimson Countess, and Jensen Ackles will play Soldier Boy.
The latest episode of “Seven on 7,” below, also updates season two’s superheroes. Most notably, it appears that the mysterious Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell) survived a severe allergic reaction caused by Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott).
Now streaming through Prime Video, “The Boys” (based on the best-selling comics by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson) puts a bold, fresh and bloody new spin on the superhero genre, centered on a group of vigilantes who set out to take down corrupt superheroes.
The series hails from Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, and Evan Goldberg.
