In the wake of Michael Dougherty’s Krampus, a whole bunch of Krampus-themed horror movies exploded onto the scene, most of them found in $1 bins at your local Dollar Tree. I’m talking about low-budget films such as Krampus: The Reckoning and Krampus: The Christmas Devil, as well as everything from Krampus: Origins to Mother Krampus. Yes. Mother Krampus.
Up next? Sister Krampus, of course!
Announced by SRS Cinema, Mark Polonia is co-directing Sister Krampus with his son Anthony, and the plan is for the holiday horror movie to release on the road to Christmas.
In Sister Krampus…
“Near the end of World War II, American soldiers perpetuate an unspeakable horror on a local nun. Turned away from the church, Krampus hears her cries, enacting brutal revenge… but it comes with a price.
“Decades later, two sisters visiting Europe on Christmas holiday are unexpectedly plunged into the nightmare web of Sister Krampus, bride to the holiday deity. They are aided by a local village woman, and together they venture into the nearby, desolate convent to unlock the secret to stopping the evil spirit once and for all.”
