Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will be back (at least) one more time in The Conjuring: Last Rites, and Deadline reports that Mia Tomlinson (The Beast Must Die, pictured above) and Ben Hardy (X-Men: Apocalypse) have also signed on for the upcoming installment.
Michael Chaves (The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, The Nun II) is returning to the franchise to direct The Conjuring: Last Rites, which is reportedly said to be the final installment in the main series of The Conjuring movies.
The Conjuring: Last Rites will release in theaters September 5, 2025.
David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick (The Conjuring 2) wrote the screenplay for the fourth movie. Franchise mainstays James Wan and Peter Safran are on board to produce.
The Conjuring films are based on the real-life case files of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga respectively.
In addition to another movie, The Conjuring is also headed to the small screen. A series for Max was originally announced in April 2023, and development continues here in 2024.
