Actress Hannah Fierman, who memorably played Lily in the “Amateur Night” segment of our horror anthology V/H/S, is next making her feature directing debut with a horror movie.
It’s titled The Events Surrounding a Peeping Tom, described as a psychological horror film with a cast including Damian Maffei (The Strangers: Prey at Night, Haunt, Wrong Turn), and Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp, Victor Crowley). The project is now funding through Indiegogo, and we’ve learned that Terry Kiser (Friday the 13th: The New Blood) has joined the cast.
Maffei says in a statement, “We’re ecstatic to have Terry Kiser joining us, not just as genre fans or someone who has seen Weekend at Bernies 850 times, but because he’s a tremendous character actor, and a perfect fit for the role. It’s sort of a new chapter for many of us, a side moviegoers have not yet seen, and that’s really very exciting.”
“The Events Surrounding a Peeping Tom is the story of Martin Malone, a lonely voyeur who is caught and arrested following a misstep. As he nears the end of his court-mandated rehabilitation, Martin suspects that someone or something far more sinister is watching him.”
Filming is set to begin this September in Connecticut.
Kate Kiddo (On Location, Time’s Up) and Kamarra Cole (Time’s Up) will also star. Brian James Fitzpatrick wrote the film, with Ryan James (Time’s Up) producing.
