Popcorn Frights recently pulled back the curtain on its virtual festival experience that will be available nationwide.
Running parallel to its in-theater program (August 12-15) and through the duration of the Festival (August 12-19), Popcorn Frights’ virtual experience is headlined by seven feature film World Premieres.
There will also be a handful of North American Premieres, including that of The Ex, a new supernatural Russian horror in which a recently deceased ex-girlfriend haunts the man who scorned her.
“The screws are tightened in this wickedly entertaining, juicy supernatural-thriller about the vengeful spirit of an ex-girlfriend who makes life hell for the man who scorned her.
“It’s been several years since a teenager posted a revealing photo of his girlfriend online to brag to his friends, betraying her trust and her honor. While he has since moved on from the episode, living a happy carefree life with his beautiful fiancée, a string of mysterious events soon not only disturbs his dream life, but turns it into a living nightmare.
The festival calls Evgeniy Puzyrevskiy‘s supernatural thriller “a potboiler in the finest sense and made with verve, style, and an unsparing amount of flesh-crawling thrills.”
