Godzilla will return in an upcoming Apple TV+ series from Legendary Television, we’ve learned tonight (via Deadline), a small screen expansion on the “MonsterVerse“!
The live-action series will feature Godzilla and various other Titans!
Here’s the synopsis we’ve been provided with: “Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco and the shocking new reality that monsters are real, the untitled series explores one family’s journey to uncover its buried secrets and a legacy linking them to the secret organization known as Monarch.”
The untitled small screen project is created by Chris Black and Matt Fraction, with Black showrunning. The project is being produced by Legendary Television and Toho Co. Ltd.
Last we heard, Godzilla vs. Kong director Adam Wingard is also in talks to direct a brand new feature film that’ll be set in the “MonsterVerse,” which began back in 2014.
Godzilla vs. Kong was the fourth film in the MonsterVerse, which kicked off with Godzilla in 2014 and continued with Kong: Skull Island in 2017 and Godzilla: King of the Monsters in 2019.
