‘The Mortuary Assistant’ Receiving Physical Edition From Super Rare Games on October 31 for Switch, PS5

Super Rare Games are teaming up with DreadXP and developer DarkStone Digital to bring The Mortuary Assistant fans a limited physical edition of the hit horror title for PlayStation 5 and the Nintendo Switch, just in time for Halloween. But you’ll need to be quick once the orders go live, as these physical editions are, after all, limited.

Available for pre-order on October 31 at 1pm ET and shipping in early January, there will be 2000 PlayStation 5 copies of The Mortuary Assistant up for grabs, and 4000 Switch copies.

The PlayStation 5 version of The Mortuary Assistant from Super Rare Games will include the fully assembled PlayStation game with PS5 disc, interior art, manual, slipcover, and exclusive sticker. Meanwhile, the Switch version will have the fully assembled game on cartridge, interior art, full colour manual, an exclusive sticker, and a set of 3 card trading card pack.

For the hardcore fans, you can also purchase the booster card pack and trading card bundle on October 31, as well.

The Mortuary Assistant (which we reviewed here) centres around you having completed your degree in mortuary sciences, and as a result, have taken on an apprenticeship at River Fields Mortuary. Over the past several months you have logged many hours aiding the Mortician in daily tasks along with learning the ins and outs of the embalming process as well as how to properly handle and care for the deceased.

Late one night, you are called into work to handle some embalmings. Death doesn’t keep day time hours. But there is something different about these bodies because there is something different about you. The phone rings with the Mortician on the other end. The rumors are true, and you can not leave.

In addition to the Switch and PlayStation 5, The Mortuary Assistant is also available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PC via Steam.
