Grab your crucifix and rosary for the all-new episode of The Boo Crew!
The Pope’s Exorcist is in theaters everywhere on Friday, and this week we are joined by Oscar-winning storyteller Russell Crowe.
We crack open the case files of the real-life chief exorcist of the Vatican, Father Gabriele Amorth, who performed over 100 thousand exorcisms in his lifetime. Crowe takes you on the mysterious and terrifying journey of portraying this fascinating figure.
Russell Crowe tells BD’s The Boo Crew, “I got some slightly bad news for you. I don’t like horror films. It’s not my go-to. I like to sleep deeply at night. Because I have a certain level of sensitivity, they get under my skin like crazy!”
Crowe also explains how he worked through the terror to handle immersing himself in the subject matter of one of the most unsettling sub-genres in horror.
“Probably the same way Father Amorth did,” he tells us. “You got to retain your sense of humor; you have to retain the sense of perspective.”
Episode 378 with Russell Crowe is now slaying! Listen below.
