Three years after its release, MorbidWare’s The Textorcist: The Story of Ray Bibbia will finally be receiving some DLC. Announced earlier this week, “The Textortcist: The Village” DLC will arrive March 17th on PC via Steam.
Since it’s been three years, The Textorcist is part Typing of The Dead, part Bullet Hell. It tells the story of Ray Bibbia, a private exorcist who must take on a demonic outbreak in Rome. At the same time, Ray must also deal with his dark and sinful past.
For the “The Village” DLC, we’re taken back 10 years, with Ray Bibbia staying in the village of Castel di Vania, where religion is considered a passing fad. Unfortunately for the village, ancient demons lurk in the shadows, and it’s up to Ray to do a bit of sleuthing and exorcising.
Featuring three new chapters, “The Village” also features three new bosses, new music tracks from Carbon Killer, and three new “twisted typing mechanics” for players to grapple. You’ll also be equipped with new spells in your arsenal, so don’t think you’re going in empty-handed.
The Textorcist: The Story of Ray Bibbia is out now on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. And while Andrew wasn’t exactly keen on the concept, there are certainly those who are keen on putting their typing skills to the test.
