THQ Nordic was busy during their digital showcase. Not only have they announced a new horror game with Little Nightmares developer Tarsier Studios, but they’ve also revealed that they’re working on the next entry in the Darksiders series with developer Gunfire Games!
Similar to what they did with Tarsier Studios, THQ Nordic offered up a cryptic teaser and nothing more. In fact, the teaser itself states that we won’t be getting any more information about the new Darksiders game “at this point in history.” That also means we won’t know which Horseman of the Apocalypse will be the focus this time in this new entry.
The previous mainstream entry in the series, Darksiders III, was seen as a success for THQ Nordic after its release back in 2018. Darksiders III (which we reviewed) focused on Fury, one of the Horsemen in her quest to capture the seven deadly sins which had taken corporeal form and escaped. That was followed by a spin-off with the top-down hack and slash title Darksiders Genesis in 2019.
