We’ve been wondering exactly when Insomniac’s Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 would be coming out, especially since it has Tony Todd on board voicing Venom. Well according to Todd himself, we may get the answer this fall.
After Todd released a picture of himself at a mocap session on Twitter, a fan made a comment regarding the wait for the game. Todd replied that it “looks like September” for Spider-Man 2 to be released. Todd followed that up by saying that commercials for the game would start up in August, when “massive publicity” would start. Todd then advised fans to hold your breath, as it would be “necessary”.
Making things even more interesting is that the tweet has since been taken down, indicating that Todd might have revealed a little too much for Insomniac’s liking.
In spite of all of that, we’re still waiting to hear more about Marvel’s Wolverine, which was announced alongside Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and is also coming to the PlayStation 5. However, unlike Spider-Man 2, Wolverine‘s release date is still unknown, despite being rumoured for a 2023 release.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will see Peter Parker and Miles Morales teaming up, with the Tony Todd-voiced Venom making an appearance. Much of the team behind the first game will be coming back to work on the sequel.
Looks like September! Massive publicity coming in august. Commercials start dropping in august so I’m told. Hold on to your … and hold breath! Gonna be necessary
