With the news comes the official poster and trailer to the Joel David Moore (Hatchet, Youth in Oregon) directed redo of the 2013 hit (read our review).
“Dracula’s” Jonathan Rhys Meyers leads cast alongside Jacinda Barrett (“Bloodline”), Joe Pantoliano (“The Sopranos”) and Mustafa Shakir (“Luke Cage”).
“When a wealthy businessman follows a lead to find his missing brother, he dives headlong into a twisted underworld of squatters and vagrants that threatens to tear apart his family as he struggles to maintain his sanity.”
“Hide and Seek is a social horror-thriller that builds upon themes related to the widening gap between the upper 1% and the lower class,” explained the press release. “As population in urban areas balloon and real estate prices skyrocket, lower-income segments of society are finding themselves continually getting pushed out. This film explores the question of ‘what if’ when those left marginalized decide to take matters, and homes, into their own hands.”
