Crytek dropped a little preview late last week for Hunt: Showdown players itching for new content. The team are currently working away on a new map called DeSalle, which if you currently own the game, you can try it out today on the test server before it goes live later this summer.
DeSalle features sixteen different areas, including two towns, a watermill, shipyard, a mine and more. There are plenty of places for you and your team to stake out your hunt from opposing players. Of course, you still have the business of hunting down the creatures, but you’ll have to contend with the new Miner Grunt enemy, which can blind players with their helmet lamps.
Crytek also dropped more info on the 1.6 update, which like DeSalle, is currently on the test server. The update mainly addresses what the team calls “gaps” in how the game communicated player ratings for match making. The new matchmaking rating system will now visually indicate your personal PVP rating to other players. As well, the update will include more detailed post-match information on the opposing team to better gauge how you match up against other players.
In addition, there are other tweaks to audio, weapons, ammo ranges, UI and more.
Hunt: Showdown is available now on PC via Steam, Xbox One, and PS4.
