The wait is finally over for console fans waiting to sink their teeth (sorry) into Ziggurat Interactive’s remasters of BloodRayne and BloodRayne 2. Both ReVamped titles are now available on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The games were originally released on PC last year as with the Terminal Cut.
On top of that, the two titles will be receiving an exclusive physical release for the Switch, PS4, and PS5 courtesy of Limited Run Games through November 28th, which you can pre-order here.
As was the case with the PC versions, the ReVamped versions of BloodRayne and BloodRayne 2 feature the following:
- Support for higher display resolutions (up to 4K / 3840×2160 on supported consoles)
- Upscaled cinematic videos
- Improvements to lighting at the engine level, plus fully reprocessed lighting data
- Engine improvements to support uncompressed original textures
- Improvements to effects such as reflections, water, fog, and shadows
- Expanded localizations:
- BloodRayne: Voiced audio and localized text for English, French, Italian, Japanese, Russian, and Spanish
- BloodRayne 2: Voiced audio in English and Russian. Localized text for English, French, German, Italian, Russian, and Spanish
BloodRayne and BloodRayne 2 were originally developed by Terminal Reality, and published by Majesco Entertainment for the PC, PlayStation 2, Xbox and Gamecube.
