“The Simpsons” is doing something a little different with their annual “Treehouse of Horror” episode this year, for the first time ever airing TWO DIFFERENT brand new episodes!
One of the two “Treehouse of Horror” 2022 episodes will take the familiar anthology approach, while the other will be a full length, 20-minute parody of Stephen King’s IT!
“We’ve never done a single fantastical, bloody, scary, dark story, told over the scope of the 20 minutes and 40 seconds that is an episode,” executive producer Matt Selman tells Variety.
Selman continues, “I think the fans are going to be really excited. Certainly the tattoos already exist of Krusty as Pennywise. So we’re just writing towards the tattoos now.”
