While we continue waiting for a sequel to the movie, the world of Trick ‘r Treat continues to expand in the comic book realm with Trick’ r Treat: Witching Hours, a new graphic novel from Legendary Comics and Rocketship Entertainment that’s available exclusively on Kickstarter.
This marks the first all-original Trick ‘r Treat graphic novel in a decade, presented by Trick’ r Treat creator and director Michael Dougherty. Also, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Michael Dougherty’s Krampus in 2025, a new edition of the tie-in graphic novel, Krampus: Shadow of Saint Nicholas, will be launched with a special Kickstarter edition.
Trick ‘r Treat: Witching Hours features four brand-new, original stories centered around everyone’s favorite mischief-maker, Sam. The stories are brought to life by a talented group of creators, including writers Michael Dougherty (Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Trick’ r Treat: Days of the Dead), Zach Shields (Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Trick’ r Treat: Days of the Dead), Todd Casey (Trick’ r Treat: Days of the Dead), Breehn Burns (Trick’ r Treat movie, Trick’ r Treat: The Haunting), and Curtis Waugh (Stegosaurus, the Moistest), with artistic contributions from Ben Templesmith (30 Days of Night), Breehn Burns (Trick ‘r Treat movie original concept artist and comic illustrator), and Tristan Jones (Mad Max: Fury Road comics).
“I’m thrilled to return to the twisted world of Trick ‘r Treat for more of Sam’s mischievous adventures,” said writer/director Michael Dougherty. “This new graphic novel is a true labor of love, created by a top-notch team of writers and artists, and I can’t wait for fans to join us for the best Halloween party ever.”
Fans and collectors will also have the opportunity to pledge for exclusive items available only during the Kickstarter campaign, including a special slipcase edition of the graphic novel and other limited-edition merchandise. Learn more and pitch in on Kickstarter now.
