After detailing their Early Access exit plans last month, Stunlock Studios has announced that V Rising will bust out of the service and launch into 1.0 on May 8th. The PlayStation 5 version will launch later in the year.
The full 1.0 release follows the highly successful Early Access period for V Rising, which eventually saw more than 3.9 million copies sold for the open world survival game.
As was detailed back in February, version 1.0 brings new content to V Rising, with a new territory to explore, visual customization options for your armor, new equipment sets, and enhanced weapons added to the game. Stunlock has also added sweeping improvements to V Rising, including sending Vampires to explore their lost society in the expansive new endgame zone, the Ruins of Mortium. Alongside these additions, the developer has focused on creating optimal PC gameplay with UI improvements, fully integrated gamepad support, and a much smoother overall experience.
“After two years of Early Access, we’ve managed to really polish and worked hard on optimizing the game for its full launch,” said Rickard Frisegård, CEO of Stunlock Studios. “We made the most of that time, and we think fans will enjoy an improved experience that really pushes boundaries. We’re excited for both our dedicated fans and newcomers to get their teeth into V Rising and drink it in when it fully releases on May 8th.”
Right now, you can save 20% until March 21 when you buy V Rising on Steam.
