‘Vampire Survivors’ Comes to PlayStation on August 29

Developer Poncle said that they would get their hit roguelike Vampire Survivors onto PlayStation this summer, and they’re making good on their word. Vampire Survivors will be available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on August 29, with all of the game’s DLC (paid and free) being available on PlayStation platforms on the same day. Accompanying the announcement is an appropriately cheesy trailer.

For those keeping score, the paid DLC available at launch will be “Legacy of the Moonspell,” “Tides of the Foscari,” “Emergency Meeting,” and “Operation Guns.”

Back in April, Poncle said that they were doing the PlayStation port themselves, in order to keep the low price and the parity of content. Indeed, the trailer touts that fact saying that you’ll be able to get Vampire Survivors for “the price of a Peri Peri Chicken Wrap.”

Vampire Survivors is a time survival game with minimalistic gameplay and roguelite elements. Hell is empty, the devils are here, and there’s no place to run or hide. All you can do is survive as long as you can until death inevitably puts an end to your struggles. Gather gold in each run to buy upgrades and help the next survivor.

Along with PlayStation consoles, Vampire Survivors is also available on Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
