Developer poncle has announced that after spending a little under a year in Early Access on Steam, their hit roguelike bullet hell Vampire Survivors will hit 1.0 on October 20th. The game’s roadmap was essentially completed in the recent 0.11.3 patch, and according to poncle, v1.0 should “offer a little something for everyone.”
In a new post on the game’s Steam page, the developer explains that in addition to minor tweaks in balancing items, the full game will feature added and revised achievements, amongst other things. poncle will be teasing those “other things” starting October 7th with daily reveals, leading up to the game’s eventual exit from Early Access.
And just because Vampire Survivors is hitting that magic 1.0 release, doesn’t mean that development and updates will cease. In fact, poncle states that they have “more surprises” in the works for Vampire Survivors. “We’re working on the new engine and will have the usual tweaks/bug fixes of course, but also in the past months there have been a few unscheduled, niche gameplay additions to VS, like Golden Eggs and Limit Breaks, that are used so much that they need some [quality of life] improvements.”
If you haven’t checked out Vampire Survivors before, Aaron sang its praises not long after its release. Its premise is pretty simple: a time survival game “with minimalistic gameplay and roguelite elements.” You try to survive a bullet hell by mowing down thousands of monsters and accumulating as much gold as possible. There are also tons of weapons and items, several character classes, and different spell mechanics for you to delve into while playing.
