Because hey, even if it’s fanmade, the potential to be awesome is there. As initially reported by UploadVR, a modder is currently working on a VR mod for Capcom’s remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3. The modder, praydog, posted footage of an early version of the mod to YouTube.
Keep in mind that “early” part, as you can see from the footage, there’s a bit of an issue with stretchy arms. Though apparently, that’s already been fixed, according to the video description.
No word on when the mods would be available, but the thought of playing one of the best recent remakes (and one of the more “almost great” remakes) in VR alongside the upcoming VR remake of Resident Evil 4 is a big deal for fans.
Resident Evil 4 VR is currently in development for the Oculus Quest 2, and is expected later this year.
