Focus Entertainment and developer Auroch Digital are dipping into the old-school with the reveal of Warhammer 40k: Boltgun, a throwback first-person shooter set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The game will be arriving in 2023 for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and the Nintendo Switch.
Combining the iconic 90s FPS stylings with modern shooter gameplay and Warhammer 40k, Boltgun sees you don the armour of a battle-hardened Space Marine on a mission to battle the Chaos Space Marines and daemons of Chaos. That of course involves frenetic gameplay and buckets of blood. Not to mention harnessing the immense firepower of a Space Marine.
“We are delighted to be working on this fast-paced indie first-person shooter alongside the talented Auroch Digital studio, and our long standing partner Games Workshop,” states Focus Entertainment chief creative officer Dessil Basmadjian. “We are excited by Boltgun‘s skillful combination of iconic 90s style, the Warhammer 40,000 universe, and thrilling gameplay that is sure to delight all kinds of players.”
