Last October, NECA gave us a first look at a new toy line that mashes together the Universal Monsters and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the first time since the 1990s, with the first reveal turning Raphael into Frankenstein.
The second figure revealed turned Leonardo into The Hunchback Ygor from the world of “Frankenstein”.
Out of the New York Toy Fair, NECA has revealed the third figure in the line, Michaelangelo as The Mummy, awakened from his eternal slumber by an undying love… of pizza!
“Don’t be late with his pie or you may run afoul of The Mummy’s Curse!,” jokes the company, who made the announcement with the following retro commercial that takes us back to the 1980s.
Michelangelo includes two ankh nunchuks, interchangeable heads and hands, bendable cobra, and extra bandage drapes.
The original Universal Monsters x TMNT line from Playmates featured Leonardo as The Wolfman, Raphael as The Mummy, Michaelangelo as Frankenstein’s Monster, and Donatello as Dracula, as well as April as the Bride of Frankenstein, Leonardo as the Creature from the Black Lagoon, Michaelangelo as The Invisible Man, and Raphael as the Metaluna Mutant.
