Bloody Disgusting was represented on two panels at this year’s Comic-Con@Home, which runs through this Sunday, July 25.
AMC Networks has quite an extensive lineup of panels, including “The Walking Dead”, “Fear the Walking Dead”, “The Walking Dead: World Beyond”, and “Creepshow”.
They also highlighted the Shudder Original, V/H/S/94, the latest entry in our anthology franchise, as well as “Slasher: Flesh & Blood”, the latter of which was hosted by Bloody Disgusting’s very own Meagan Navarro (read all about it).
While I’m personally not a comfortable self-promoter and like to keep things close to the chest, a lot has already been revealed about the fourth entry in our found-footage anthology series.
First, it’s all been filmed. We’re currently in post-production right now and aim to have it out by this fall.
Second, V/H/S/94 takes place after the discovery of a mysterious VHS tape in which a brutish police swat team launches a high-intensity raid on a remote warehouse, only to discover a sinister cult compound whose collection of pre-recorded material uncovers a nightmarish conspiracy. That’s all you get.
However, we did reveal a tiny bit of footage from one of the segments at the very end of the Comic-Con@Home panel, which is embedded below. It’s from Chloe Okuno‘s film and is about… I’m not saying.
Okuno directed the phenomenal must-see AFI horror short “Slut” (watch it here). She’s an outstanding new voice in horror and has projects in the works with A24, Orion, and even just completed principal photography on Watcher for Spooky Pictures.
Digressing, here’s the panel that’s moderated by Richard Newby of The Hollywood Reporter and features interviews with segment directors Simon Barrett, Timo Tjahjanto, Jennifer Reeder, Ryan Prows, Chloe Okuno, as well as Producer Josh Goldbloom, and yours truly.
