Japanese publication Famitsu has provided 50 minutes of gameplay footage for Koei Tecmo’s upcoming remaster of Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water. The footage comes from the PlayStation 4 version, which was broadcast during the latest episode of the Famitsu LIVE program.
An enhanced version of the 2014 Wii U original, Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water sees players will step into the shoes of Yuri Kozukata, Ren Hojo, and Miu Hinasaki as they make their way up Mount Hikami to uncover the truth behind the disappearances on the mountain. They’ll have to contend with malevolent spirits trapped in the mountain’s waters, however. Luckily for them, they have the Camera Obscura, a special camera that can deal damage to ghosts upon taking a photo.
The remastered Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam on October 28.
Thanks to Gematsu for the heads up.
