Catchweight Studio and publisher Team17 Digital have reiterated that their upcoming World War I Survival Horror title Conscript will see a release later this year. Accompanying the announcement is a new gameplay trailer, as well as news that the game will see an updated demo available next month on Steam during Steam Next Fest on June 10. There will also be a physical edition after the game’s digital release.
“With Conscript, I aimed to immerse players in the grim reality of World War 1 while delivering the tense, gripping gameplay that survival horror fans know and love,” says Jordan Mochi, founder and solo developer at Catchweight Studio. “I can’t wait to bring this experience to both PC and console players later this year and am especially excited to see the game on the shelves.”
Currently in development for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch, Conscript is set in 1916 during The Great War, and tells the tale of a lone French soldier named André, who is looking for his brother Pierre – missing-in-action during The Battle of Verdun. In the midst of the trenches of the Great War. You must navigate the mazelike trenches, scavenge for supplies and solve complex puzzles – all the while fighting for your survival.
