Showtime‘s hit series “Yellowjackets” is getting ready to begin production on Season 2, and Deadline reports today that Nuha Jes Izman (“FBI”) has joined the cast this week.
“Izman will play Crystal, a member of the JV squad and a hard-core theater enthusiast who makes the dubious decision to bond with Misty.”
Recently announced, Lauren Ambrose (“Servant”) is playing adult Van in Season 2. And Simone Kessell (“Obi-Wan”) is playing the adult version of Lottie.
Elijah Wood will play Walter in Season 2, a dedicated citizen detective who will challenge Misty (Christina Ricci) in ways she won’t see coming.
The series was created by Ashley Lyle & Bart Nickerson (“Narcos”), described as being “equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story and coming-of-age drama.”
Chatting with Variety, the team recently promised “Yellowjackets” Season 2 will take us into a harsh winter, suggesting we’re in store for an even more horrifying second season.
“Yellowjackets is the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over.”
Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, Christina Ricci, and Juliette Lewis star.
